Nithya Menen was born on April 8, 1988 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, into a Malayali family. He has completed his graduation in Journalism from Manipal University. She never thought about being an actor, but she planned to be a journalist. But later, she decided to become a filmmaker and joined a film course at FTI Pune. During the educational entrance exam, he met the director B. V. Nandini Reddy, which made Nithya a successful actress.

Nithya Menen made her debut as a child artist actress in an English-language film The Monkey Who Knew Too Much in 1998.
