Rakul Preet Singh appeared in Tamil, Hindi and Kannada films. She participated in the Femina Miss India contest in 2011, in which she won the fifth place and won five titles of the contest, including "Miss India People's Choice". He started his own gym called F45 on February 20, 2016 in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

Rakul Preet Singh was born on October 10, 1990 in New Delhi, India, from Rajender Singh, an army officer and Kulwinder Singh. She has a brother named Amarjee. He did his education at the Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan and later studied Mathematics at Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University.

Rakul Preet Singh began his career as a model at age 18 when he was in college and made several commercials. He made his film debut with the film Kannada Gilli 2009, directed by Raghav Loki. In the film, his performance was well received by the public. He made his Telugu debut with the movie Keratam in 2011. In 2012, he appeared in the Tamil film Thadaiyara Thaakka as a supporting role. She made her Bollywood debut with the Divya Khosla Kumar, Yaariyan romantic adventure movie in 2014. Later, she was seen in several successful Telugu films such as Venkatadri Express, Loukyam, Nannaku Prematho and many more.
